Launched in 2016, The Hub is a nonprofit effort made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts with extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, polling, and analytics. We make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups – bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns.

Position Summary

The Hub Project is looking for an experienced Senior Campaign Director to help design, build, and manage our Economy campaigns. The Economy campaigns holds Members of Congress accountable to their constituents for their economic policy positions in U.S. House districts across the country. The Senior Campaign Director will be responsible for leading a large team of passionate and talented staff with varying areas of expertise to create dynamic and effective issue advocacy campaigns. You’ll build and manage the day-to-day education and lobbying programs that leverage the appropriate mix of grassroots organizing, strategic communications, polling, paid and earned media tactics to advance the goals of the Hub and its allies. You’ll also be responsible for managing budgets, a variety of consultants, and creating full-scale plans for issue campaigns.This is a significant leadership and management role at The Hub Project and will be an integral part of the senior leadership team. Senior Campaign Director, you will:

  • Develop, write, and execute large-scale issue advocacy campaign plans.
  • Design and manage budgets to accomplish the goals of the campaign.
  • Lead a large, strategic team of communications, research, and digital staff on progressive issue campaigns.
  • Work closely with existing campaign partners, while developing new relationships to build robust, multi-faceted campaigns.
  • Oversee rapid-response efforts as necessary.
  • Manage vendors across national and state programs.
  • Lead a team to design professional and consistent reporting on program progress and successes with an eye towards growing our network of stakeholders and our impact.

  • You have extensive experience designing and managing large-scale campaigns.
  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator and have the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • You have a talent for working with partner organizations and forming meaningful organizational collaboration.
  • You are committed to developing strategic plans that work--and orienting numerous people and tactics around achieving goals.
  • Experience with large-scale paid media campaigns is a plus, and a willingness to try new and innovative tactics alongside traditional approaches is a must.
  • You have managed large and complicated budgets.
  • You have successfully negotiated with and managed numerous outside vendors.
  • You have experience using public opinion research to inform programs.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 120 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.
